We can already say that it is fundamental for your company. The graphic charter is the set of fundamental rules of use and graphic signs that constitute the visual identity of a company, a brand, an organization or a project.
We will go even further by saying that the graphic charter is the guideline that the company must follow in terms of identity but especially visual.
It is useful for the internal team, i.e. the copywriter, the art direction, the marketing, social media, branding sessions etc...
And useful for the target because it harmonizes the visual perception and identity in his mind.
What is a graphic charter composed of?
The graphic charter is basically composed of :
- the logo but not only...
- fonts and typographic attributes to be used
- the choice of colors through sets of colors adapted to the requirements of the various communication media
- The graphic prohibitions related to the graphic elements
- editorial rules (tone and style) to help any writer to make his documents homogeneous
- adaptations and variations for communication media such as faxes... by proposing for example a simplified version of the logo (black and white)
- the other personality that the graphic identity of the brand must reflect (mood board).
